The Plevna FFA members stopped for a photo before attending a student workshop.

On October 30th, the Plevna FFA traveled to Indianapolis, IN with the Carter County FFA Chapter. Along their 2-day trek to Indy, they toured the Darr North Feedlot in Nebraska to learn many interesting facts about their pens, feeding schedules, and the technology being used at the feedlot. Once they reached Missouri, the FFA group partook in the tourist attraction of the St. Louis Gateway Arch.
As Plevna arrived in Indiana they walked through the sea of blue and gold jackets all week at the tradeshows and attended the General Sessions and Workshops. The arrival on Wednesday, November 1st, led them to Top Golf that evening to play fun golf games with many laughs and good swings. On Thursday, the 2nd, they attended the early opening session in the Lucas Oil Stadium. After spending money at the FFA Shopping Mall and meeting many new people including the iconic star of Rodeo Time, Dale Brisby, they regrouped and drove to the Cheesecake Factory. While here, everyone enjoyed a hearty meal and delicious dessert, relaxing after such a hectic day.
The following morning found the group at the NCAA Hall of Champions to explore the athletics that have made sports what they are today. Next, they traveled to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway where you can watch the famous Indy 500 Race. Here they hopped in a bus to do a lap around the track, then arrived at the finish line to do the tradition of kissing the bricks. After an exciting morning of touring attractions, they arrived back at the convention to watch the top three talent finalists perform as well as the National Band and Choir followed by the closing session. Finally, on Saturday morning they attended one last event of watching the American Degree recipients after which they traveled back home arriving in eastern Montana Sunday evening on the 5th. A good time was enjoyed by all as they met FFA members across the country.
